SCOPE OF ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT

Acupuncture can resolve a lot of problems and conditions. Researches have demonstrated that many diseases of which not have been cured or helped by the traditional method of treatment would be benefited by acupuncture. World Health Organization had been provided a long list of diseases to which can treated by acupuncture. Basely, sicknesses helped by acupuncture can be categorized into:

1.   Pain syndrome: All type of pain, including pain over the neck, the shoulder, the  back, the hip, the knee, the ankle and even the cancer pain.

2.   Headache, tension or migraine.

3.   Injury: Sprain or strain of tendon or ligament, contusion.

4.   Joint disturbance: Arthritis, TM joint syndrome, post-traumatic joint effusion, lumbago, sacroiliac joint pain, bursitis.

5.   Organ disorders: Such as indigestion, constipation, chronic diarrhea, palpitation, chest compression, chronic cough, difficulty of urination, frequency of urination etc.

6.   Psychological problems: Stress, anxiety, insomnia, nervousness, emotional unstable.

7.   Neural disturbances: Bell’s palsy, trigerminal neuritis, shingle neuritis, Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), sciatica, brachial radiculitis, post-stroke paralysis.

8.   Gynecological disturbances: Peri-menstrual syndrome (PMS), menopause, dryness of exogenital organ, painful menstruation.

9.   Sexual problems: Fragility, non-organic infertility, impotence, impairment of sexual activity.

10.              Allergy: Asthma, chronic cough, nasal sinusitis, dermatitis.

11.              Smoking cessation.

12.              Detoxification: Drug abuse, alcoholism.

 

FACILITY

l        Acupuncture: use only thin new disposable needles.

DIAGNOSTIC METHOD

Use Chinese traditional medical diagnostic methods including tongue, pulse, and point pressure diagnostic methods. Interpret the findings with Chinese and Western medical concepts. Integrated Medicine!

 

TREATMENT METHOD

Use acupuncture plus electric stimulation, heat treatment, heat massage, ultrasound stimulation or cupping. Natural Chinese Herbs are frequent combined use for many conditions. The herbs come with raw plant, powder, or packed in capsule form.

CHARGE

Most insurance are accepted when they are covered acupuncture treatment. Right now herb or herb tea is not covered by insurance though it is not very expensive. For the private pay, it charged by session and various items. Some treating programs, such as quit smoking or drug abuse treatment, are not covered by many health plans. Charge for course of treatment (for example a wrap discount for 10 treatment as a course) can be arranged. Discount also offers to certain group of people such as inability, seniority or contracted groups.

We take workers' compensation cases. We provide treatment as primary treating physician, Agree Medical Evaluator (AME) or assigned as Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) in the WC system.

 

LECTURE, DEMONSTRATION, AND PROGRAM

We delight to provide lecturer to give lecture on the Chinese Medicine related subjects to the social associations (such as rotary, lion club), educational body, company or factory. Video or live demonstration also can be arranged.

Special program such as quit smoking, weight control, can also be arranged to provide to the union, health plan insured, school or association with special reduced rate.
